Ada Bojana & ušće rijeke(Ada Bojana)
The most popular day trip from Ulcinj — a river island born from an 1858 shipwreck, with fish restaurants perched on wooden platforms above the Bojana. Half a day on the river, half a day on the naturist beach if that's your thing.
What to see
- •The Ada entry gate (€5 per car)
- •Fish lunch on the platforms above the river (Mille, Miško, Dolce Vita)
- •The beach where the Bojana meets the sea (4 km of sand)
- •Kayak or paddleboard on the Bojana — rentals next to the bridges
- •Looking across the river into Albania (the far bank is already AL territory)
Tips
- 💡Head over for lunch (12-1pm) and stay until sunset — the river is at its prettiest between 6pm and 8pm.
- 💡The riverside restaurants are local institutions — book ahead on weekends, especially Mille and Miško.
- 💡The naturist camp is only one section of the island — there's a 'textile' beach as well if that's more your speed.
- 💡Bring your passport if you're thinking of crossing into Albania (the Sukobin border post is 5 km further on).
